That’s what he’s working on.” Johnson also defended Trump against criticism that the war’s unpopularity and rising fuel prices ahead of the US midterm elections were influencing his decisions. The speaker said Trump, who took calls from reporters during the meeting, remains “laser focused” on domestic issues.
